Parking, and why it matters
Parking is free and on site, and in most cases you can pull up directly outside your room. Anyone who has carried a sleeping child and four bags across a hotel car park will understand why that is on this page.
What to do with them
- Northern Rivers Rail Trail: flat, sealed and traffic-free, which makes it one of the few genuinely relaxing family rides. There is a full guide here.
- Tweed Regional Gallery: five-minute walk, free entry, and it runs family programs.
- Tropical Fruit World: 20 minutes north.
- Kingscliff and Cabarita: half an hour east, patrolled in season.

What we do not have
No restaurant, no kids' club and no cots as standard. Rooms are serviced at the end of the stay rather than daily. It is a motel in a very good spot, and the rate reflects that.
